Puns aside, Zootopia was really good and I enjoyed it a lot
Not that I’m aware of, no.
interestingly enough, i’ve always had very strong views about non-human animal species, humans’ relation to and attitude about the environment, and how we fit in and interact with the planet as a whole, but i never even knew there were words for these things until i heard them in the zoo community. “anthropocentrism” is a big one, a concept i’ve always had opinions about, but never knew there was a term. so shoutout to the zoo community for teaching me the words for concepts i already thought about on a regular basis, so i can do better research, reading, and express myself better
Hey guys, the Westminster dog show is going to be on TV on Monday and Tuesday nights this week in the USA and Canada! (if you’re in other countries, they also post videos from agility and the entire show on their website)
Here’s their web page with info on channels and times!!
Last March, I was part of some interviews for an online article about zoosexuality. The article was not handled well and ended up mocking the zoos interviewed, even though none of us got the impression that the writer was going to do that during the interview process. It was really surprising, since the writer seemed receptive and kind throughout the emails we exchanged. Since most of my answers were either mocked or not published at all, I’d like to post the interview here, just for kicks. This was done over email. One day I’d love to be part of an interview that will result in a more reasonable article about zoosexuality. Although this experience wasn’t very good, it hasn’t turned me off the idea of interviews altogether, and if an article was going to be handled better I’d love to be a part of it.
